Volunteering is for Everyone!
Volunteers have been a part of the fabric of NHS hospitals for many years and we are happy to say that the number of people interested in volunteering within the Epsom and St. Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust remains high and varied.
They make a huge contribution to all aspects of hospital life from patient care, to administrative efficiency and fundraising, helping in the delivery of the Trust objectives. But by far the most important aspect of all these roles is the personal dimension that volunteers provide to the Trust community. Their wide smiles and commitment improve the quality of life of staff, patients and visitors.
But the gain is not just for the organisation! Volunteering is a rewarding experience that can transform your life be providing a focus, new skills, new friends, and the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping other people. It promotes good physical and mental health, as proven by the substantial number of volunteers in their 80's that ceaselessly contribute to our hospitals.
Whatever your walk of life, skills or your current situation, volunteering could change your life. If you want to know more, we look forward to hearing from you!
